In May of 2017, Limelight Studio was built into a unique and cozy hair studio off Main Street in Danielson. Limelight Still has a strong dedication to staying environmentally friendly by constantly seeking high quality, natural products (including local and handmade). In 2018 Kayla became sole owner and added on a Yoga room! In 2020 we had to close the Yoga Studio, but in 2021 we replaced it with a Smoke Shop run by Kayla’s husband, Keith!
Limelight Studio offers hair services and retail products from Kevin Murphy, O way, Cult + King & more. Kayla specializes in dreadlocks and Reiki infused hair appointments. The Retail section of Limelight offers a variety of whole body and wellness goods including essential oils, cycle/hormone supportive products, oracle cards, body oils, Nomads Garden Teas and much more! The Smoke Shop at Limelight carries hand blown glass smoking pieces from mostly local and small business glass blowers, a variety of CBD (for you and your pet!), organic rolling papers, crystals, incense, Kratom, and more!
Limelight Studio is a certified Green Circle Salon, reducing waste by up to 95%, just from recycling as much as possible! Kayla hopes to create a balance between beauty and wellness for the planet and everyone who chooses Limelight.

what did you want to be when you grew up? I actually always wanted to be a hairdresser! and now, I truly Love my job.
I started in the industry in 2003, as a receptionist. i spent 10 years there, working as much as i could without a license until finally going to hairdressing school! 2 salons and 4 years later i opened up my own place! Now i’ve molded my work into something a little more unique and personalized. I specialize in dreadlocks and holistic hair appointments!
in 2017 i became a yoga teacher and took a reiki training in 2019? (i lost any concept of time since the pandemic!)
since opening Limelight and continuing my education, i’ve narrowed in on creating an experience for my clients that is about more than just getting your hair done! I hope you enjoy it!

as a Certified green circle salon, we recycle up to 95% of our waste! Hair clippings, Leftover color, foils and more!
Cancelation Policy
We understand that life happens and sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. We kindly ask that you provide us with at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or changes to your scheduled appointment. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving us enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that spot. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee up to the full price of your scheduled service. We may also require a 50% deposit and credit card on file to hold any future reservations for you. We provide multiple appointment reminders before your scheduled time, leaving plenty of time to make adjustments. Limelight Studio is very understanding and respectful of your schedule and time with our providers. We ask that you show us this same courtesy. Workshops and other events are not eligible for refunds.
also please be aware if you are late for your appointment it may be treated as a no-show as we may not have time to complete the scheduled service any longer. Please let your stylist know asap if you think you may be late.
Parking
Parking is available in the lot behind us. street parking if available.
Payment
please check with your provider for certainty, but generally limelight accepts cash, check, and all major credit cards.
Other Info and Policies
Friends and family are welcome to accompany you during your appointment, Just keep in mind that it can be a LONG time to sit in one place and space may be limited. Non-mobile infants (especially those that are breastfeeding) are ALWAYS welcome but we ask that any other children NOT be brought to your appointment as they cannot be properly supervised during your visit.
we have coffee, water, tea and other refreshments available. feel free to byo-beverage or snacks to your appointment as well.
last but certainly not least, we want to let you know that we love keeping an open line of communication. if you have any questions or concerns at all please, do not hesitate to ask or let us know! we strive to give everyone the best possible experience during thier time with us here at limelight!<3
